Fine Art Print – Lord Howe Boobook
From a body of work ilustrating extinct Australian animals. The extinction of the Lord Howe Boobook Owl is thought to have stemmed from the deliberate introduction of three species of owls in an attempt to control Black Rats which were accidentally introduced to the island in 1918. The owls may have competed for food and the eggs of the Lord Howe Boobook could have been eaten by the Black Rats.
Watercolour, gouache, acrylic, collage and hand carved stamps.
