All work is designed and created by Lauren on the traditional land of the Gundungurra and Darug people in the Blue Mountains NSW. Ranging from delicate watercolour to vibrant collage illustrations, the common theme throughout it all is a deep respect and love for our unique Australian wildlife and wonder for the natural world.

We have recently made the shift to printing our art prints on Hahnemuehle 290gsm Bamboo Fine Art paper. The quality of the print is beautiful and is museum archival quality for highest age resistance.

Greeting cards and all other paper goods are printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper and none of our products are packaged in plastic or cello sleeves. This is a very conscious decision to do our bit to cut down on single-use plastic.

To the story

To The Trees was the title of one of the first illustrations Lauren created when she started out as a freelance illustrator in 2012. It depicts a person walking away from a city with polluted waterways and towards the trees. It symbolised the values that were so important to Lauren in her personal and business life, making sure that her work showed love of and love to the natural world.

When the decision was made to rebrand from Lauren Merrick Illustration, the name To The Trees resonated yet again and seemed perfect for this new venture.

To The Trees is run by Lauren Gero (Lauren Merrick) but this is a family run business, spurred on by the love and support of those around her. All products and new ideas are talked through with her husband Steve, her extended family and her friends. Your orders will mostly be packed by Lauren, but often in busy times her family gathers to help – either with packaging or minding little Tom and Dawn.
